Luroca

Luroca was born Luis Angel Montanez on September 11, 1981 seemingly destined to a street life of drugs and crime.  Introduced by his gang-involved uncles to drugs at the early age of 7, he was already on the road to being a tragic, teenage statistic by age 16 with a rap sheet that included disorderly conductcriminal mischief, assault, and violation of probation. But God had other plans for his life and, in August of 1999, he was saved by the transforming grace of Jesus Christ which touched even his love and fascination of hip-hop culture.

Christian hip-hop tracks were soon as much a part of his discipleship training as were outreaches and bible studies; It was soon evident to his friends, youth leaders and all around him that he was gifted with a voice and rhymes that could attract many to the message of the gospel. After ministering in Texas with his first group, ‘The Holy-Ghost Squad’, he began collaborating with established artists like the late Juan “Enoch” James (ofCross Movement) and Cy (of Much Luv Records, appearing on the album ‘The Next Now’).  Currently recording his album ‘The Human Torch’, Luroca’s goal is to set the world on fire for Jesus through his talent of Christ-infused, hip-hop music!
